Marksman Security Corporation is now seeking a Director of Security!
The Director of Security will oversee security personnel, ensuring the site is properly staffed and officers are trained and motivated. The Director of Security will also work closely with the client contact to achieve goals and objectives set forth by Marksman Security and the association.
$67,000 p/yr
Ideal candidates will have previous experience in corrections, law enforcement, military security, account management
armed or unarmed guard/officer experience and or other related fields.

Responsibilities:
Accountable for the continued development, co-ordination and maintenance of the Security
Program as directed by client management and Corporate policy promoting a service oriented
environment which actively seeks to deter and control crime.
1. Develop and implement policies, practices and plans relating to the Security
function. Create and maintain a program that will provide well trained, properly
motivated employees.
2. Manage the administrative function of the location in ensuring the accurate and timely
submission of Incident, Accident and Injury Reports, Equipment Usage Logs, personnel
documents, weekly payroll and licensure compliance.
3. Perform personnel related duties including the professional development of staff,
hiring, promoting, performance documentation, scheduling, and terminations.
4. Other related duties as assigned.
5. Promote a positive relationship and act as liaison between Marksman Security
and Client Management.
6. Direct and ensure compliance of Workplace Safety procedures, employee orientation
and training documentation per Client, Company and governmental requirements.
7. Establish and maintain co-operative relations with local authorities.
Qualifications:
- A combination of formal education, training and skills generally possessed by an individual with 5
years of solid, verifiable work experience, preferably in a Mall Security, Retail Loss Prevention or
Law Enforcement environment coupled with a minimum of 5 years progressive managerial and/or
Public Relations experience. - No felony or aggravated misdemeanor convictions, valid State Driver License, and must currently
possess and/or have applied for appropriate State registration. - Practical knowledge of law enforcement procedures, technical writing, civil law, criminal law,
security procedures, investigative procedures, training programs and personnel management. - Physically mobile and in possession of senses to successfully perform requirements of position
which consists of a combination of climbing stairs, standing, patrolling both indoors and outdoors
and driving a vehicle for the duration of each shift. - May be required to use handcuffs and operate a two-way radio.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with the public effectively
and tactfully. - Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
