Security Officers, sometimes referred to as Security Guards, deter criminal activity, protect property and enforce rules on a property. Some monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position, while others patrol areas and do security checks. In factories and offices, Security Officers provide protection for equipment and workers along with checking the credentials of vehicles and individuals coming and going from the premises.
Available Security Officer Positions:
- Front Desk: Acknowledge and greet all guests with utmost courtesy and urgency, customer service, access control, greeting residents and guests with a courteous demeanor, monitor CCTV camera systems, announce visitors, distribute packages, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 21 years of age or older
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Level II Noncommissioned security license via TOPS
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving history
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Strong computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Desire to develop, motivate and train others under a decentralized model
- Previous CCTV, fire panel and other emergency system experience
- One years previous stable Security experience
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background, MVR, and drug)
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must Be a Team player with a great attitude and demeanor
- Provide customer service to our clients by site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities when needed.
- Must respond to internal/external customer concerns with utmost professionalism and confidentiality.
- Must be a problem solver, helping to find solutions for issues that may arise.
- Monitor closed circuit television system.
- Monitor and operate facility computer systems regularly, as assigned.
- Handle security issues or emergency situations appropriately.
- Assist, verify identities, and guide visitors to their destinations for their onsite visit.
- Manage access control for all NTX sites and some remote locations.
- Inspect security equipment daily and report any maintenance needs.
- Answer Client questions/concerns in person and or by phone.
- Write incident reports, lost and found reports and communicate all security concerns to management
- Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property
- As trained, be able to create badges for employees, vendors, suppliers and visitors coming to the site.
- Must be computer literate- able to type 35 wpm and learn new programs to do the job.
- Prior security experience is helpful, prior badging experience is a plus with badging software
- Must display Exceptional customer service skills & amp; People Skills.
- Proficient in basic phone & amp; computer skills in how to work a switchboard telephone.
- Can work with minimal supervision, but know what the expectations are
- Proficient/familiarin Microsoft Programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Can operate a basic camera for photo taking
- Must be able follow instructions, policies and adhere to them for job performance and safety reasons
